What we collect

• Phone or email (authentication)
• Profile information you provide (name, age, city, bio, orientation, intent)
• Approximate location (fuzzed ±200m for nearby discovery)
• Messages between mutual pings
• Reports and moderation records
• Optional government ID image if you opt in (used only for identity checks; deleted after the check or on request)

Optional ID verification

ID upload is never required to use Bind. If you opt in, we collect one image of your government ID solely to confirm identity. Images are stored privately, never shown to matches, and deleted within 30 days of the check or when you use "Delete my ID data" in Settings.

Why we collect it

• To match you with nearby verified members
• To keep the platform safe (moderation, blocking, reporting)
• To enforce invite-only community standards

What we do not do

• We do not sell your personal data
• We do not show ads
• We do not share exact GPS coordinates with other users

Site analytics

We use Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights to understand aggregate traffic and how the site performs. These tools are privacy-oriented and help us know if people visit Bind and where engagement happens. We do not use Google Analytics for this.

Data retention

When you delete your account, we remove your profile, messages, and photos within 30 days. Some moderation records may be retained longer for safety.

DPDP Act 2023

Bind processes digital personal data of users in India in compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. You may withdraw consent and request erasure at any time.
